Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using this website or purchasing Mentor LMS. By accessing mentor-lms.com or purchasing through Envato CodeCanyon, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. The Product

Mentor LMS is a self-hosted software script built on Laravel and React. It is sold as a digital product through Envato's CodeCanyon marketplace. Upon purchase, you receive a license to install and operate the software on your own server infrastructure.

The software is not a SaaS service. We do not host, manage, or operate your installation. You are fully responsible for your server, data, and the operation of your platform.

2. License

Your use of Mentor LMS is governed by the Envato Regular License or Extended License, depending on which you purchase. A summary:

  • Regular License — use on a single end product that does not charge end users for access.
  • Extended License — use on a single end product that charges end users (e.g. paid course marketplace).
  • Each license covers one installation. Multiple installations require additional licenses.
  • You may not resell, redistribute, or sub-license the code.

3. Purchases and Refunds

All purchases are processed through Envato's CodeCanyon platform. Refund requests are subject to Envato's Refund Policy. Because Mentor LMS is a digital, downloadable product, refunds are generally not issued once the item has been downloaded.

4. Updates and Support

Purchases include 6 months of support from the author via the Envato support system. Extended support can be purchased separately. Updates to the software are included as long as the item remains available on CodeCanyon.

Support covers answering questions related to features and functionality described on the product page. It does not include custom development, server configuration, or third-party integrations not included in the product.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

Mentor LMS is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free or uninterrupted. You use the software at your own risk.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use Mentor LMS, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data loss, or business interruption.

7. Your Responsibilities

As the operator of a Mentor LMS installation, you are responsible for:

  • Securing your server and keeping software dependencies updated
  • Complying with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA)
  • Maintaining your own privacy policy and terms of service for your platform's end users
  • Ensuring that your use of third-party integrations (Stripe, PayPal, Zoom, etc.) complies with their respective terms

8. Intellectual Property

Mentor LMS, its design, branding, and documentation are the intellectual property of the author. The Envato license grants you the right to use the software but does not transfer ownership of the intellectual property.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of this website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
